Last month we explored some options to work more efficiently with mates in a SolidWorks assembly. This month, we have another tip in the same vein: we can use the PropertyManager to inspect and modify mates.
Simply bring up the PropertyManager, select a part, and you’ll see the mates involving that part appear in the PropertyManager tree. Select other components and you'll see the mates change to reflect the currently selected component. Selecting a mate in the PropertyManager tree brings up a pop-up from which we can access editing functions. Since the PropertyManager is always there, this can be a convenient way to check over and modify mates in an assembly.
