3DVIA Composer has many ways to create trail lines for your explode views. One thing you may find is that getting the line just the way you want may be a small task. I’m going to show you how to get exactly what you want with a quick and easy method.
Step 1: Start be setting up your view in an animation
Step 2: Use the animation to move the part you want to explode, create a key for each direction change.
Step 3: Repeat this process until your view is complete.
Step 4: Select the parts you moved and from the Author Tab add a “Non-Associative Path from Animation”. Make sure you select “Non-Associative” this will allow the path to show when we save the view.
Step 5: Select the options for your new path.
Step 6: Once all paths are finished, save your view.
You now have a view with the path (trail) just as you want it. Feel free to adjust the view as the path will stay correct.
This method goes fast and gives you perfect trail lines every time.
